Summer 2007
It is hard to
believe that the summer is half way over and that means Swissam is planning for the
2007-2008 season. Before I comment on the
upcoming season I would like to reflect a little on last season.
It was a very
successful first season with Loveland Ski Race Club. Our
membership grew larger than ever before and everyone was very happy how the season went. Under head coach, Gunnar Sorensen, and the entire
coaching staff and support team of Loveland, SwissAm was the most successful RMM team.
Congratulations SwissAm! Our team was first in
the Rocky Mountain Division Age Class Standings and the Elite Team Standings the third
year in a row. You might like to know that
after SwissAm paid its financial obligations for training, hill space and coaching, was able to donate $7,000 to the Loveland Youth Ski
Race Program. We all know our survival of ski
racing is through supporting the youth.
We can look forward
to another great season at Loveland. SwissAm
Ski Racing and LRC Masters have joined together. SwissAm
Ski Racing will operate the entire masters program for Loveland. We are happy to announce that Gunnar Sorensen
committed to another season as head coach along with his support staff and our famous
webmaster and speed coach, Doug Briggs.
