A NOTE FROM THE PRESIDENT |
What a great start
to the season. I would like to thank all the members that signed up with SwissAm. SwissAm
extends a very special thank you to C. B. Bechtel and to the entire LRC Board for their
generosity with hill space and their warm welcome and appreciation to the master program.
Ron Emery, our new head coach integrated very well in our program and is doing an
excellent job. We are fortunate to still have Doug Briggs as our webmaster. Brock Thompson
has joined our coaching staff on a limited basis and we are glad to have him.
HAPPY HOUR AT THE VALLEY - Compliments of SwissAm
Saturday, November 28th, SwissAm is hosting a happy hour welcome party at the Loveland
Valley Bar right after training, approximately 3:45 to 5:30 PM. This party is an
opportunity for all masters, LRC board members and coaches to mingle.
Ron will be available to share his know-how on ski waxing and tuning. Ron and Hans will
inform members of the advantages of Toko wax and tuning products. We will be showing the
new 08-09 World Cup winning runs from USSA. You may even win some Toko products.
SKI DONATIONS
We are asking for skis that Masters no longer need and can be donated to SwissAm, a 5013C
Corp. for distribution to youth skiers who need them. This is tax deductible .
CAR POOLING-GO GREEN
From now on, whoever is interested in car pooling, we will meet one hour before training
starts at the Morrison-I-70 exit. We will meet at the parking lot across from the Conoco
station which is north of I-70 and west of Highway 26.
TRAINING
From Tuesday, December 8 on we will go to our regular training schedule. Tuesday is 1-4
PM, Wednesday 9-12 and 1-4 Pm Thursday 1-4 PM, weekends to be determined. We exchanged the
Friday training day for Tuesday. And don’t forget, Echo Mountain training starts
December 7th.
Snow conditions permitting, the speed camp at Ski Cooper on December 19th and 20th is
still on. Mark your calendar for the speed series at Ski Cooper over Martin Luther King
weekend – January 15th to the 18th.
PUNCH PASS - SAVE
For those who did not purchase a full time membership pass, SwissAm will offer a 5 punch
pass VALID AFTER January 1, 2010 for $200! This pass MUST be purchased by December 31st.
FIS NORAM CUPSlalom-Men/
Women, Monday, November 30th thru Thursday, December 3rd. Please support the LRC Race Crew
