Doug Briggs
Speed Coach
and webmaster
Doug Briggs was born in North Conway,
NH and learned to ski at Cranmore Mt. He won the Jr. Nat. DH Championship in 1976, the
Eastern Cup in 1977 and raced on the World Cup as a member of the U.S. Ski Team in the
1978 season. He resumed racing in 2002 and has placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the age class
overall combined over the last five yearsin Rocky Mountain Masters racing series.
Doug has retired from active racing
to allow more time for free skiing and employment (gotta pay for skiing somehow!) He will
particpate in the speed camps and training providing his knowledge and encouragement to
those with the need for speed.
Doug volunteers time to maintain the
SwissAm website. He is also the principal of R.Douglas Briggs, Inc. providing internet,
network and computer services at www.rdbriggs.com
