COOPER CUP DOWNHILL

TEAM DOWNHILL – CALCUTTA – CLUB BENEFIT CHALLENGE

Location : Ski Cooper

Dates :  Saturday ,March 3^rd  - Cooper Cup Town Downhill 

             Sunday , March 4^th – Team Downhill, Club Challenge  

Entry Fee : Cooper Cup public downhill – Saturday only- $10.00

            Cooper Cup Downhill – Sat. and Team Downhill -Sun. -- $45.00 total

Lift Tickets : Ski Cooper will offer a special adult lift ticket for $25.00/day for 2 day racers only!

Schedule :  Saturday, March 3^rd

8:30 to 10:30 am – Registration in Ski Cooper Lodge

9:00 am – Lift opens

9:15 to 10:45 am – Course Inspection

11:00 to 12:30 pm – 1 untimed training run – REQUIRED for all racers !

1:00 pm - 1 timed race run – 2 day racers first !

4:00 pm – Awards in Ski Cooper Lodge – top floor. Medals for top three m/f in each age group. Prize drawing among all competitors.                                                                     

 5:00 pm -Team drawing for Sundays team race based upon times from Sat. race. Team racers will be split into thirds based upon Sat. race times. Target times for team drawing: Group A – under 1:05, Group B -1:05 to 1:10, Group C – 1:10 to 1:15. These times will be adjusted based upon number of competitors and actual results on Sat.- 3 person teams will be made up of 1 skier drawn from each group. 

Calcutta: Bids will be taken on teams after the team drawing is completed. The team race is a benefit for the kids in the Cloud City Ski Club plus the 2 Masters teams – Abasin Racing and Swiss Am - who have participated in and helped to build the Ski Cooper race program over the last several years. $5.00 from each 2 day entry will go into the purse for the Calcutta along with all the money bid for teams. 15% of the total purse will go to each of the 3 clubs. 30% will go to the winning team owner, 15% to second, and 10% to third .

Sunday, March 4^th

9:00 am – Lift opens

9:15 to 9:45am – Course Inspection

10:00 am – 1 untimed training run.

11:15 am – 1^st run by team in order of team drawing on Sat.

12:30 pm – 2^nd run by team – same order as 1^st run                                                      

2:30 pm – Awards – Cash Prizes for top 3 teams- $10.00 from each 2 day entry to go into prize purse. 50% of purse to 1^st place team, 30% to 2^nd , 20% to third

CLUB CHALLENGE AWARD- an equal number of racers representing the Cloud City Ski Club, ABasin Racing , and Swiss Am will be designated prior to Saturdays race. Those racers will be scored by place points within their Cooper Cup age groups on Sat. plus their team finish place points on Sunday and totaled for the Club challenge scores!
